Board Elections are open

We are excited to see so many people looking to take on new responsibilities here at CCI. As our current board members look to move into new spots on our board, that creates opportunities for new people to help lead this amazing coalition over the next year or two.

One thing you may not know is that CCI is a unique coalition. We are one of three known statewide coalitions, we are the only one that has been awarded the Drug Free Communities grant and we are not tied into an government agency. Our uniqueness makes us a Unicorn in the world of Primary Prevention. Many who have previously worked on our board are now employed in the Office of Drug Policy, have been elected to State Legislative offices and so much more.

Currently with all of the movement on our board we are looking to fill the following spots:

  • Chair
  • Vice Chair
  • Treasurer

Also holding seats on our board are the following committees:

Workforce Development & Meeting Planning - Helps staff plan monthly webinars and program spotlights

Internal Organization - Looks at the inner functions of our Coalition and keeps us up to date

Networking & Membership Communication - Helps with new ideas on networking and ways to best engage our membership.

Legislative - Tracks State and Federal legislation, also works to look for ways we can educate our elected leadership.

We also are looking to update our Sector Reps from the 12 sectors outlined by the CDC:

  • Business
  • Civic/Volunteer Organizations
  • Healthcare
  • Law Enforcement
  • Media
  • Parents
  • Religious
  • Schools
  • Government
  • Substance Abuse
  • Youth
  • Youth Serving Organization

If you would like to inquire about any of the following positions please email Davidccied@gmail.com
